tell it to the marines
Let me give you an overview of the situation here right now, there was a declaration of the country being under the “State of National Emergency” which is going to be the governments protective shield for the alleged threat of forced take-over.
There was a standoff at Fort Bonifacio yesterday because someone resigned and another someone was assigned to the position, but this someone doesn’t want to accept this new someone to be his officer in chief because he said the someone who resigned did not actually resign but was cogently terminated (let's not name names, they might track me down and bring me to prison) Yeah, it is truly complicated, not to mention the politicians who went there saying they are there to prevent bloodshed, to talk it out diplomatically and to pray for the Filipino people (you can pray at home, God will still hear you!),,, please, you are not doing any good, you just want to be a part of this because… you just want to,,, you really don’t have any intention to help,,, you were there for your own personal interests, or maybe you are just so damn fuming and envious to GMA because she was able to do that, and right now, nobody can put her out of her office. Everybody wants to be on her shoes,,,, everybody wants to be president!!!,, Don’t get me wrong, I’m not pro GMA, but if ever she goes down, who’s gonna take her place??? Susan Roces??? Pleeeease!!! Or you might want Loren or Tita Cory or Erap…. There is a very long list of wannabe's but nobody really deserves the position (not even GMA). I don’t want to lose the freedom that we all have right now, But there are people going over the limits of their rights and some of them are really causing more and more trouble each time they take actions, not helpful at all. I hope that those in the position would, for once, really think what would be best for our country and its people (after all, that includes them!)
Now, the hanging question,,, will there be martial law? I hope not,,, but I hope so, too, so that the “EPAL” people can have the days of their lives!!! Martial law can be good if it will not be abused. I mean like a mother to her children, sometimes the children needs some spanking for them to be taught,,, besides, they are asking for it, they are teasing. So let’s give what they want!!!
Mom and dad were arguing yesterday, daddy for the anti-martial law and mommy for the pro. Dad says it’s hard to be under a martial law, people will lose their freedom of speech (that is only number one)... while mom here says she likes the idea of curfew so that we’ll all be home by 10!!! Jheeez!!!
"Emergency rule allows arrests without warrants and extended detention without charge. Analysts say it is a very sensitive issue in the Philippines, where martial law was in force for nine years under President Marcos. Both the Philippine stock market and the national currency, the peso, plunged at the news of the emergency declaration. Over the past few months, Mrs. Arroyo has faced a mounting crisis because of allegations of vote rigging and corruption. She survived an impeachment attempt in September 2005 and an army mutiny, involving some 300 soldiers, in July 2003. " (BBC news)
“This is my warning to those who are attempting anything against the government“ (Gloria Macapagal Arroyo – President RP)
“The more Arroyo tries to take away our civil liberties, the more we will fight back” (Meggy Guzman – Activist)
People of the Philippines...
What are we to do?...
Where are we to go?...

noooo... martial law would be a step back. you don't want that! the government can do anything under martial law, they will have absolute control over anything and everything - freedom of speech would be gone and you can (possibly) blog no more.
read up on the marcos regime... it might perhaps change your mind about martial law... last word: power corrupts power.
Yeah you're right, I don't want that to happen. I love my blog so much! ;-D
It's just that, sometimes, the people who make "sawsaw" to the issue really piss me off. I won’t trade for our freedom, I understand how cruel martial law could be, I was just kidding when I said that. Just to lighten the burden of the situation. :)
Thanks.
thanks
