My best friend's wedding

Today is one of the most exceptional day for me and my best friend. And why is that? Today is my best friend’s wedding! Kind’a sound like a movie huh! Actually, today was the first time that I met the groom. There just wasn’t the chance to meet him before today. While the ceremony was going on, my best friend can’t help but laugh, I was not sure why she chuckled so suddenly, her face so red trying to impede the giggle. The judge got her attention and told her that what’s happening inside that room is a sacred thing, and that there was nothing funny about it, which was correct. She’s just so “pasaway”! We asked her what was so funny, and she said she just can’t help but laugh when she looked at our faces. We were so eager to get a picture of every moment, and we looked so amused. Awww! Enough about that, I just want to say congratulations to both of them. Now I don’t have a drinking buddy, well, that would be for just a brief moment, but the next time we drink, that would have to be really moderately, coz you know, the family first rule. I’m gonna miss you buddy, I wish all the best for the both of you. I’ll find an apartment near our house so were gonna be neighbors! Good luck! And again, Congratulations!!!

My last post was dated October 27, 2006. It’s been more than 2 months, so I would like to give you the updates of what had happened to me for the past 2 months.

October 26 was the time that I finally found a hotel for my training, that’s why I got busy and didn’t find the time to blog.

Remarks: My last day at the office. Do I have to elaborate? I don’t think so!

Remarks: I wasn’t able to go to the cemetery to visit my beloved departed since I have duty in the hotel. I just offered my prayers for them. I went to the mall that evening with my family and we bought huge cotton candies!

Remarks: I was glad to be with my cousins again, especially that Jila was present in the occasion, ate made this really deliciously rich chocolate cake.

Remarks: happy to be with my cousins and titas. Ate Girlie made Rich a pink 18th bday cake, does it really have to be a Pink cake, event if the 18th bday celebrant is a guy? I was able to get to know my brother’s friends who are band members, they were all cool, and they rock!!!

Gillarmi’s Retro 18th bday: 11-18-06
Remarks: A grand 18th bday celebration. I was one of the emcees. It was held at their garden, which was featured here in my blog sometime ago, everybody was in their oldest styles of clothes. My sister even wore some kind of a vintage dress. My mom won the miss retro award, Imagine, I had my dress sewn up by a couture and she just bought her dress from ukay-ukay (seriously). By the way, I followed Ces’ suggestion to go psychedelic and it was in fact very retroistic!

Case filing at NLRC: 11-20-06 p.m.
Remarks: I, together with my officemates went to the NLRC (National Labor Relations Commission) to file a case against the company Traffic Power Philippines Inc, and Scobell Consulting Services to get what was due to us. Too bad, we can never make Mr. Matt Marlon pay for his wicked activities since we cannot prosecute someone who’s not here. We just wanted to take possession of the assets of the company and we believe we should be the priority, Right!?

Remarks: A simple celebration courtesy of my cousin Girlie, we went to seaside at Macapagal. That day also, we went to Gillarmi’s fashion show for RRJ at the Mall of Asia. It was a totally alcohol free birthday, really. Can you imagine that?!

Later today, we’ll say goodbye to 2006, which was one of the most colorful years of my life, there were so much laughter and pain, So many new friends that came my way. This year, I learned and started blogging and I enjoyed it a lot, I met two talented and intelligent friends here at blogland and I call them my cyber friends. To Ces and Maria, thank you for your continuing patronage. After what had happened, I just hope that I would have all the courage to face a brand new day, a brand new year. Last Wednesday, I brought Ugin with me into the office, he behaved like a grown man, I’m so proud of him. He spoke when he was spoken to, he was afraid of Andy (my officemate) and I don’t know why, and he was so fond of Donnie, coz he let Ugin watch Mr. Bean on his pc. All in all, it was an exhausting yet fun day.

Another reason why I went to the office that day is to file my resignation, because as of this moment, we still don’t have our salaries yet. That would be 2 months of unpaid service. But our manager advised me to just take a leave of absence until we get paid, she said I might not get paid if I resign since the company is on the rocks this past months and is really halfway to insolvency, whatever happens, it would be the current employees that is going to be prioritized. *keeping my fingers crossed*

We went to Cabanatuan for my pamangkin, Airish Joshua’s 7th birthday, (ugin wasn’t able to go with us since he had a fever that day) there were clowns and traditional event games like “basagang palayok and “pabitin”. It was a riot, the clown duo was good, they made everybody smiling, and even the grown-ups enjoyed their performance.









I had never seen cooking with the use of “sinibak na kahoy” or “gatong” for a long time, until then. They said if the food was cooked using a gatong, the food is tastier, and more delicious, I don't know why and I'm not sure if it's true, but the "sopas" cooked in there was definitely tasty and delicious.

my first maki

Just want to say, finally, I've tried California maki. I was afraid to try any food that has something to do with wasabe, but man, it tastes good! That yellow stuff is mango. I love the combination of the sour taste of mango, some soy sauce and the flavor of crab... was that crab, well I'm not sure but it tastes like one. Another one for my menu.
